Our Story

In 2006, Nathan and Erica met while studying Oceanography at UC Santa Barbara and were quickly consumed by a passion to pursue an adventurous aquatic lifestyle in the lush waters off the California coast.

While going to school, Nathan worked part time on a local commercial Sea Urchin harvesting boat, and began building a boat of his own.

After graduating, the husband-and-wife team took to the sea aboard the redesigned Panga—a traditional Mexican fishing boat—and began harvesting local and sustainable sea urchins and sea cucumbers for the domestic and international markets.

Paradise Cove Seafood Company was born!
